Mother & Baby Bag Campaign

“The Zambia Shall Be Saved” Mother & Baby Bag Campaign is an initiative designed to support low income mothers across Lusaka and Zambia.

Our goal is simple but powerful: to ensure that every mother has the basic essentials needed to deliver her baby safely, with dignity and care.

Each baby bag contains key items a mother may not have access to, including baby blankets, a new-born outfit, soap, towels for both mother and baby, sanitary pads, chitenges, and, where necessary, infant formula. Through our recent distributions at China Clinic and Kalingalinga Clinic, we identified sanitary pads for mothers as one of the most urgent and often overlooked needs.

We launched this initiative during the Christmas season, distributing baby bags to mothers in need, and we are committed to making this an ongoing, responsive program. Our vision is to work directly with clinics on a needs-based system where healthcare providers can reach out when mothers arrive without essential supplies, allowing us to respond quickly and effectively.

Looking ahead, we also aim to expand our support by storing and supplying baby milk, and by partnering with other organizations and NGOs to extend our reach and impact.

We invite you to be part of this meaningful cause.

Donations start from as little as K100, and each baby bag costs approximately K800. Whether you choose to contribute towards a single item or sponsor multiple baby bags, every contribution goes a long way.

In Pursuit of Freedom book

Book Summary

This book emerges out of a life and vocational journey of Rev Dr. Nevers Mumba. It highlights how being a man of the collar responded and extended beyond the Pastoral call into public service challenging every odd and barrier one could think of. Many politicians and some church people in Zambia and in other African countries have for long time held the belief that church and politics could not mix and that politics is a dirty game.

This book is an answer to the debate of whether a Christian should be involved in politics or not and presents a strong narrative of the need to have men and women of sound morality in high places. Evil triumphs when good men do nothing is a proverb attributed to Edmund Burke that expresses the idea that inaction against evil allows it to continue or proliferate. This proverb is the hook on which this book hangs challenging the commonly held stereotype ‘Politics is Dirty.’ What should rather be known is that ‘allowing dirty people in politics has adverse effect on a nation.’ In pursuit of freedom provides details of the experiences of Dr. Nevers Mumba as living proof that men and women of right morality are well suited to serve the political office. This book is also designed to align the body of Christ to that fact of knowing that good management of the country and equitable delivery of services depends on the morality and integrity of its leaders.

The discourse “In Pursuit of Freedom” is a clarion call for men and women of faith with right moral values to participate in changing the face of African politics. This is a faith generation voicing out its credentials in the political realm not only in Zambia but as an emerging geopolitical movement.
